Olympic Weightlifting (OLY for short) makes up a large part of the core weight movements of CrossFit. We offer OLY classes to those members that want to improve their technique and overall performance of the OLY movements.
The Olympic Weightlifting Program focuses on the two Olympic Lifts – the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk. Classes consist of technique work along with skills and drills to master these movements. If you are interested in honing your OLY skills and techniques please speak with one of the coaches before or after your regular classes.
This class is an add-on to any of our CrossFit Memberships. To participate in this class, one must first complete our Olympic Lifting 101 Class, where we break down the Snatch and Clean & Jerk in greater detail. Upon completion of the 101 Class, a short evaluation will be given to make sure the athlete is ready for the Olympic Weightlifting Program.
